Grin & Bear is a boutique, London-based teddy bear company. Partnering on
fabrics with well-known names like Liberty London and providing a bespoke
tailoring service that allows clients to supply their own
(often cherished)
textiles, they create delightful, cuddly companions for people of all ages.

As they looked to move away from Squarespace, they realised that their site
needed to do more than just provide purchasing functionality and instead offer
a brand-rich experience that conveyed the hand-crafted nature of each
individual toy.

The site that was created for them looked to do exactly that whilst maintaining
the ease-of-use factor that Squarespace offered, allowing them to manage
orders and products going forward. Their updated creative direction aimed to
keep the brand in tone with the new site and prevent their old aesthetic from
holding it back.

Premium
quality
with
room
for
playfulness

As
a
'creative
direction'
was
being
supplied
in
order
to
complement
the
new
website
as
opposed
to
a
full
rebrand,
it
needed
to
be
simple
and
easy
to
apply
whilst
reinforcing
the
high-quality
nature
of
the
brand
in
order
to
set
them
apart
from
their
competitors.

An
elaborate
and
engaging
user-experience

As
Grin
&
Bear
were
coming
from
a
Sqaurespace
template,
the
new
site
had
to
be
redesigned
and
built
from
scratch.
It
needed
to
offer
a
brand-rich
experience
that
helped
to

the
hand-crafted
nature
of
the
products
whilst
also
providing
a

used
in

to
turn
the
design
into
a
tangible
website
within
a

and
also
as
it
provided
both
eCommerce
functionality
and
a
succinct
CMS
allowing
easy
management
of
the
site
going
forward.
